Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the De/FA platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use De/FA. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Designer Projects & Campaigns
Designers who create projects on De/FA agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about their projects. De/FA reserves the right to remove or refuse any project at its discretion. Designers are solely responsible for fulfilling commitments made to their backers.
Pledges & Payments
By making a pledge, you authorise De/FA to charge your payment method for the pledged amount. Pledges are processed through our third-party payment provider. All transactions are subject to the payment provider's terms. De/FA charges a platform fee on successful campaigns, as disclosed at the time of project creation.
Intellectual Property
All content on the De/FA platform, including the De/FA name, logo, and design elements, is the property of De/FA or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant De/FA a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute such content in connection with the platform.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: use the platform for any unlawful purpose; impersonate any person or entity; upload false, misleading, or fraudulent content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform; or interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation. Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
De/FA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, De/FA disclaims all warranties and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amounts you have paid to us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
